In September 10-14, 2018 Board of Directors of Irrawaddy Green Towers visited Myanmar and met the management team of the company. After a successful meeting with its management team, the Board of the Directors took the opportunity to visit telecommunication sites in Yangon. The objective of the site visit was to meet the stakeholders on-ground, to assess the performance of IGT assets in terms of compliances to its policies in safety, health, environment and quality aspects, and to get a better understanding of the factors affecting network performances of IGT sites.
The Board of Directors was joined by the CEO- David Thomas Venn, COO- Bassel Ahmad Jamaluddin, and management team from operation & maintenance and power. The Board of Directors have all been briefed on IGT network operation activities, how does it functions and work on-ground. All the observations of the visits were all discussed by the Board of Directors to the entire management team and a corrective action plan was formulated to ensure that the issues are resolved and that the sites are brought up to the IGT specified standard to ensure maximum uptime delivery.
At the end of his visit, the Board of Director has reiterated to the team its core responsibility of ensuring quality and better performance of IGT sites at all times in order to achieve good network service to the community in Myanmar, and this can only be realized thru full ownership, vigilance and TEAMWORK.
