As the leading and oldest humanitarian organization in Myanmar, the Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS) is committed to improving the health and well-being of vulnerable people. MRCS began operations in 1920 as a branch of the Indian Red Cross Society. After Burma formally separated from Indian in 1937, the Society obtained official, national status in 1939 and was admitted to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in 1946.
To provide the activities, IGT donated MMK 500,000/- to MRCS, Dala and Vice-Chairman U Win Min Htike accepted.

– The doctors gave health education to the villagers who came to mobile clinic.
– Most common diseases in this village were Hypertension, muscle pain and diabetes.
– Boiled Rice Soup with Chicken were serve to all patients.
– Hluttaw members, Health Department from village track, village and village track administrators, education department, Township MRCS force and Metta Shin Welfare Volunteer were present and collaboration on the occasion.

–Before start cure the doctor gives, health talk about hypertension and diabetes because most of the villagers are facing those diseases.

–The villages’ chairpersons and village members were participant on this occasion.

– Conducted a course to the caretakers of the orphanage, on health education (dengue fever), and advised importance of personal hygiene and prevention of diarrhea.
–Provided treatment for albendazole (tablets for worm killer), and treatment for skin infection, diarrhea and ARI diseases.
Additional support to YWG:
– IGT staffs donated MMK 144,000/- in cash, and new and used clothing.
– IGT and Gold Myanmar donated MMK 86,000/-

Trip Activities & Highlight:
– The medical team treated 200 patients (children)
– Conduct a course of health education about Dengue Fever, Importance of Hygiene and Importance of Nutrition to teachers and baby sitters of Y.G.W.
– Provided albendazole (worm killer) tablets to all children.
– The most common diseases occur in Y.G.W is skin infection, diarrhea and ARI diseases.
– IGT staff donated MMK 135,000/- in cash and several pieces of old clothing.
– At time of new academic year, the children need school uniform.
– There are about 10 units of sewing machines donated to the orphanage but nobody use it.
If someone can provide a training for sewing course, this will help the needs of the children tremendously.

– All the villages chairmen and U Thein Zaw Latt, the Hluttaw Member of the area were present on the occasion.



As part of the CSR program for February 2017, IGT went on a mobile clinic trip on 25 February, 2017 to Hle Seik Village, Htan Ta Bin Township, Yangon Region.

The medical team treated 115 patients.
Special Cases:
One female patient was sent to the village track hospital immediately after the team learnt that she had very high blood sugar levels for diabetes, and it was discovered just in time to save her from further serious complications.
Another young girl, Ma Hnin Hnin Phywe, age 10 had undergone surgery treatment twice for stomach problem. She was born without the anal passage to dispose her waste. She will require a third surgery to complete her treatment in Yangon in about 10 days’ time. One of IGT staff donated MMK 200,000/- for her medical cost.
There were about 20 volunteers from the village, who prepared the meal for the patient and the mobile clinic team. The same IGT staff donated another MMK 100,000/- for the meal costs.
